the project

Many considerLeonardo da Vinci the most famous artist of all time. A multifaceted genius—inventor, painter, sculptor, and much more—he inspired generations of creatives around the world. But what would have happened if he had put his genius to work for the inventions of our time?
This question gave rise to theWhat If Leonardo da Vinci project: an illustrated compendium in which the unmistakable style of the master from Vinci merges with the icons of modernity, reinterpreted as if they had been conceived by his own genius.
Created byMax Monteduro —a designer and creative known for creating the publishing project PK - Paperinik New Adventures and the Double Duck character —What If Leonardo da Vinci celebrates Italian beauty and creativity (and beyond). The illustrations, created byMax in Leonardo's style and accompanied by original texts in Renaissance Italian that can be read in a mirror, depict inventions that have transformed our daily lives: from iconic means of transportation to beloved recipes, to works of contemporary engineering.
Leonardo has always been a symbol of human genius and timeless creativity. His universal and visionary visual language continues to resonate today. This is why the graphics inWhat If Leonardo da Vinci lend themselves to a wide variety of applications: they were created to surprise, to engage with those who recognize the value of innovation, history, and imagination.
The idea is simple, yet powerful: to takeLeonardo where he has never been before and where, surprisingly, he seems to feel perfectly at ease.
